Washington Nationals infielder Paul DeJong has replayed the video of the terrifying moment when he was struck in the face by a fastball, but he can't bring himself to listen to the sound.

After undergoing extensive surgery to repair his sinus, orbital plate, and nose, DeJong is hesitant to watch baseball games again, still haunted by the memory of the impact of the fastball.

On April 15, DeJong faced a 93-mph fastball that struck him directly in the face, breaking his nose and causing a gash under his left eye.
Despite the challenges ahead, DeJong remains hopeful as he embarks on his journey to recovery and eventual return to the baseball field.
