Actor and comedian Rondell Sheridan revealed he is currently fighting a serious case of pancreatitis that has landed him in the hospital.

Famous for portraying Victor Baxter on Disney Channel's "That's So Raven," Sheridan shared the news with his followers on Instagram on May 6, explaining that he became ill while traveling.

On April 10, Sheridan went to the hospital where doctors initially suspected a gastric issue. However, after a brief return home, he went back to the hospital two days later and received the pancreatitis diagnosis.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the 66-year-old actor shared, "My pancreas is inflamed, and there's not much you can do about it but just wait for the inflammation to go down."
He added, "I didn't realize that I was going to be, and will be, out of work for quite some time."
A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Sheridan with medical expenses and bills as he remains unable to work. The fundraiser has raised $53,000, with a $7,000 donation possibly from "Saturday Night Live" star Kenan Thompson.
Continuing his role as Victor Baxter in "That's So Raven" spin-offs, Sheridan has been a beloved TV dad for many fans.
Pancreatitis is a condition characterized by inflammation of the pancreas, which plays a crucial role in digestion and sugar processing. Common symptoms include abdominal pain, rapid heart rate, nausea, and vomiting.
Various celebrities, including Travis Barker, Ashton Kutcher, and George Clooney, have shared their own experiences with pancreatitis. Recently, MTV's "Floribama Shore" star Kirk Medas tragically passed away from necrotizing pancreatitis at the age of 33.
