Michael Bolton is speaking out about his battle with brain cancer.

The singer, 72, revealed his diagnosis of glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Bolton underwent emergency surgery in December 2023 to remove a brain tumor and had another surgery in January 2024.

After completing radiation and chemotherapy in October, Bolton received a clear scan in April. Despite the challenges of his treatment affecting his memory, speech, and mobility, Bolton remains determined.
"You're really quickly drawn into a duel. I guess that's the way you find out what you're made of," Bolton shared with People magazine.
Reflecting on his cancer battle, Bolton expressed a newfound appreciation for life and his desire to continue fighting. He emphasized his commitment to making the most of his time and teased a new song titled "Ain't Going Down Without a Fight."
Bolton's daughter, Holly, recalled her father's resilience, noting how he was singing shortly after surgery. Bolton's extensive music career includes two Grammy wins and recent album releases.
Despite postponing shows to focus on his recovery, Bolton remains grateful for the support of his fans and looks forward to returning to the stage. Updates on his progress show a positive outlook and moments spent with loved ones.
Glioblastoma is a challenging cancer with a low survival rate, but Bolton's story of strength and perseverance serves as an inspiration to many facing similar battles.
