The four individuals were part of an illegal immigrant smuggling organization that has been operating across Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. for the last two years.

The organization would smuggle people from Mexico, Central America, and South America through Canada into northern New York state, with the immigrants paying thousands of dollars for this service.

The smuggling activities led to high-speed car chases along the U.S. northern border, posing a significant public safety risk, according to court documents.

In one instance, smugglers were transporting seven illegal adults and three illegal children when they were caught by border agents after a high-speed chase.

Another incident involved a vehicle carrying illegal immigrants fleeing from Border Patrol, resulting in a crash in Plattsburgh, New York. The driver and six illegal immigrants fled the scene but were apprehended later.

The defendants were accused of endangering both the immigrants and American lives by engaging in risky behaviors, including high-speed getaways from law enforcement.

The case was part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration, eliminating criminal organizations, and protecting U.S. communities from violent crime.
