Iran and the United States are set to engage in detailed negotiations in Oman over Tehran's nuclear program, with a focus on uranium enrichment.

The talks are expected to commence in Muscat, the capital of Oman, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff leading the discussions.

Both sides are aiming to reach a deal that would limit Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions imposed by the U.S.

The negotiations come amid escalating tensions between the two countries, with the possibility of military action looming if a diplomatic solution is not reached.

Iran has expressed its willingness to negotiate but insists on maintaining its right to enrich uranium, while the U.S. is pushing for stricter limits on Iran's nuclear program.

Experts from both sides will also be involved in hammering out the technical details of any potential agreement, with hopes for a successful outcome.
