A tragic incident occurred on May 4 when an 18-year-old high school tennis star, Braun Levi, was fatally struck by a suspected drunken driver in California. The Manhattan Beach Police Department responded to the scene of the accident on Sepulveda Boulevard, where Levi succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving efforts.

Levi, a senior at Loyola High School set to graduate next month, was described as a shining presence in the school community. He had recently won his fourth consecutive league championship in tennis and was known for his leadership and infectious personality.

The driver involved in the fatal collision, identified as 33-year-old Jenia Belt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and murder. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
